Paper Submission

The corresponding author would initially register to journal system and follow through-steps forward introduced by paper submission user interface. During the submission steps please DO NOT MISS TO ADD ALL CO-AUTHORS at submission steps within providing the full names, e-mail and affiliation information. All the AUTHORS SHOULD BE REGISTERED WITH ORCID NUMBERS.  Manuscripts should be submitted to the journal paper submission system in doc file format.

Preparation of Manuscript

Authors are suggested to use "Manuscript File" or suitable manuscript submission. 

Your text should include the Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements and References. Besides if necessary sub-titles may be included under Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion sections.  Page of the papers are limited to 30 per paper with double spaced line to serve an intensive correction and review process. Page size is recommended as A4 for standardization of layout. 

In the "Cover Letter" authors must state Full title of the manuscript, Full names, Addresses /Affiliations of All Authors, e-mail addresses and corresponding author. They should explain the relevance of their manuscript to EJFS's scope. The Author(s) provide here 5 potential reviewer names, address/affiliation and e-mail addresses in the title page. 

The  Manuscript can be in English and Turkish. 

The short Abstract should not excess 300 words.

The MainTitle of the article should not be written with more than 15 words and should well reflect the content of the study. Title should be written in bold and sentence order with 12 font size.

Names of Author/s; should place at  The affiliations; containing title, address and e-mail; should be given below the names of authors with asterisked numbers (as 1, 2, 3..) attached to the end of surnames. Corresponding author should be signed with (*).

Keywords should not be more than 8 words. 

At Introduction section the main points of the study should be indicated and the motivation reasons for editing the article should be strengthened with the references. If necessary, sub- and interval titles can be placed into Introduction section.

In the Materials and Methods section geographical position, climate, geographical, topographical geological properties, the major properties such as classification data related to the research subject, and sampling patterns should be described. The technical details of the operated methods should be given with its related references. The details about statistical methods also should be sentenced.

In the Results section the findings of study should be presented within statistically signification evaluation revealing similarities, variances and differences. If necessary, within avoiding from replications, table and graphic illustrations and descriptive illustration or photographs can be used.

In the Discussion section the achieved results should be discussed and compared with the related literature quotes. The reached final conclusion should explicitly be sentenced at the end of Discussion section. Besides, recommendations for further studies can also be mentioned.

In the Acknowledgements section; of financial support, advice or other kind of assistance should be given at the end of the text under the heading "Acknowledgements". The names of funding organizations should be written in full.

References

The References should all be written in its own language.

Multiple citations along the text must be in chronological order, separated by commas. Example of in-text citations:

 The following image illustrates the basic structure of tables.

Numbers. Number all tables with arabic numerals sequentially. Do not use suffix letters (e.g. Table 3a, 3b, 3c); instead, combine the related tables. If the manuscript includes an appendix with tables, identify them with capital letters and Arabic numerals (e.g. Table A1, Table B2).

Titles. Like the title of the paper itself, each table must have a clear and concise title. When appropriate, you may use the title to explain an abbreviation parenthetically.

Example: Comparison of Median Income of Adopted Children (AC) v. Foster Children (FC)

Headings. Keep headings clear and brief. The heading should not be much wider than the widest entry in the column. Use of standard abbreviations can aid in achieving that goal. All columns must have headings, even the stub column (see example structure), which customarily lists the major independent variables.

Body. In reporting the data, consistency is key: Numerals should be expressed to a consistent number of decimal places that is determined by the precision of measurement. Never change the unit of measurement or the number of decimal places in the same column.

Each figure should be placed both in the running manuscript text and at the end of the manuscript (see the manuscript file), numbered with Arabic numerals according the way the figure is referenced in the main text (e.g. for Fig. 1 an appropriate file name could be fig1.jpg).

Figures must be 300dpi or above, at least 18.0 cm in width (full page, portrait page format) in EPS/PDF format (especially suitable for diagrams) or JPEG/TIFF format (preferred format for photos or images). Other accepted formats (though deprecated) are: PNG, BMP, GIF.

Diagrams and graphs should appear on a white background, with lines approximately 0.5 mm thick.

Graphs should not be gridded.

Each figure should be closely cropped to minimize the amount of white space surrounding the illustration.

Avoid as far as possible too complex figures.

Review Policy

The author/s would initially register to journal system and follow through-steps forward introduced by paper submission user interface. Manuscript (MS) and suggested five relevant independent referees with names and addresses of them also are required. MS delivery mail will be sent to the author automatically. The editor in chief excludes those MSs from the following peer review process, which are apparently not suitable for publication in Eurasian Journal of Forest Science. We inform you, if this is the case with the MS.

All the papers submitted to Eurasian Journal of Forest Science journal is peer-reviewed with a 4 weeks turnaround time from submission to publication where the referees, authors and the editors remain unknown during the double blind peer-review process. The editorial board of our journal identifies two experts for the MS. After they have approved to read and evaluate the MS, the MS sent to referees. We ask the referees to let us know their observations and opinions on the MS within 2 weeks. The entire review process may last not more than 1 month. The editor informs the author about the acceptance situation of the MS for publication. If not accepted by both of referees then the MS is decided to be rejected. If the MS is accepted by both of the referees then the author is asked to take the recommendations of the referees into account, and he can subsequently submit the final version of the MS to journal. After final evaluation made by editors the Acceptance Letter is sent to the author. 


If the MS is accepted by one referee and rejected by the other one; then the paper is sent to the third referee for review. Under the condition rejection comment of the third referee the MS is decided to be rejected. If the MS is accepted by the third referee then the author is asked to take the recommendations of the referees into account, and he can subsequently submit the final version of the MS to journal. After final evaluation made by editors the Acceptance Letter is sent to the author. 
After acceptance letter sent to the authors, the layout made up version will be sent to the author for the proof-reading on which corrections and amendments can directly made on the electronic version of the manuscript with Track Changes in WORD or ADDED NOTES in PDF files to let us track the changes. Immediately after received the manuscript then the publication identity will be released to the author.

Publication Fee
Note that publishing in Eurasian Journal of Forest Science (EJFS) is free of charge and EJFS is an open access Journal that does not receive funding from any external sources within serving for plagiarism checking, reviews, editorial works, galley proof and assigning DOI, HTML formats, ORCID.

Ethical Rules

The authors, reviewers and editors are invited to obey, accept and apply the ethical rules suggested by ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). 

Additionally, to contribute the highest quality science to EJFS, authors are expected to do the following:

1. Present a precise and accurate account of the research performed and a clear, objective discussion of its significance.

2. Include sufficient detail and reference to sources of information in a manuscript to permit the author’s peers to repeat the work. Limitations on use of or access to data must be clearly identified.

3. Identify sources of all information and cite those publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work and that guide the reader quickly to the primary and other earlier work essential for understanding the present investigation. Information obtained privately, as in conversation or correspondence, should not be used or reported without explicit permission from the source.

4. Carefully document methodology, assumptions, and uncertainty.

5. Follow the appropriate procedures in force in their countries that govern the ethics of work done with human or animal subjects.

6. Never plagiarize the work or ideas of others or your own work. Always provide appropriate citation. 

7. Avoid unnecessary fragmentation or redundant publication of research reports to artificially increase the number of publications.

8. Never include personal criticism in a written piece of work.

9. Report to the Editor any changes made to the manuscript after acceptance.

10. Include as coauthors only those persons who have made significant scientific contributions to the work, and determine order of authorship in a manner appropriate to the contribution. All coauthors share responsibility for the quality and integrity of the submitted and published manuscript.

11. Reveal to the Editor any potential conflict of interest for any author that might be affected by publication of the results contained in a manuscript or in the development of the research.

12. List all funding sources and sources of data or other in-kind support for all authors in the acknowledgments.

13. In the role of corresponding author, ensure that all coauthors are fully cognizant of the steps and changes in the manuscript during the peer review process.

AVOIDING PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is using another person’s words or ideas without giving credit to that person or that person’s work. This includes using text, figures, tables, or ideas, and includes not just duplicating any of these items but also close paraphrasing of text that still represents someone else’s ideas or work.

 To avoid potential plagiarism:

• Ensure that permission (in writing) has been obtained for reuse of any text, figures, or tables from the author and copyright holder
• Learn the journal’s usage permission policy and proper citation
• Remember that self-plagiarism is still plagiarism

Ethical Committee Permissions for Clinical and Animal Experiments

The clinical and animal experiment researches requiring ethical committee decision should be attached Ethical Committee Approval document per experiment. 

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
